The Snack Pack is an eight-week intuitive eating group coaching program for those who want to free up the brain space food is occupying so they can focus more on the things that really matter.

The next cohort of The Snack Pack kicks off on Tuesday, September 8th and runs through Friday, October 30th. 

Ditching the diet mentality to adopt an intuitive eating approach can feel incredibly isolating when friends, family, and coworkers are still stuck in their dieting ways, always talking about "good" foods and "bad" ones, their latest calorie-burning exercise regiment, or what's "off-limits" this month. 

But you don't have to work on your relationship with food alone! This group coaching program is designed to help you embrace a new mindset about food alongside like-minded individuals who have similar goals.

Which means...

  • Less brain space filled with thoughts of food and eating. Being able to make decisions about food with confidence will give you back time and energy to put towards the things in your life that are most important.
  • Redefining health according to both available evidence and lived experience. Instead of being trapped in the limited and inaccurate belief that "thin" equals "healthy" and weight loss is the only path to wellness, you can learn how to expand your definition of health beyond BMI, restrictive diets, and painful exercise.
  • Enjoying food instead of fearing it. When you truly believe and live as if all foods fit, the guilt and shame can finally dissipate and make room for pleasure and satisfaction, while still honoring your nutritional needs.
  • Discovering the middle ground instead of living in the extremes. Finally find the elusive "balance" in your diet. No more jumping from diet to diet, eating "healthy" all week so you can have a weekend "cheat day," or using your willpower to restrict for stretches of time before binging on those "off-limits" foods.
  • Kinder self-talk and more self-compassion. You're a human doing the best you can, and you deserve grace when navigating the complexities of food, exercise, and your body.
  • Letting yourself live in color instead of getting bogged down in black-and-white thinking. Say goodbye to moral food categorizations like good/bad, healthy/unhealthy, and clean/dirty, or viewing exercise as either a punishment for what you ate or a way to earn food.
  • A sense of trust in yourself and your body's signals. Even if it's been a long time since you've been able to listen to your body's cues, it is never too late to get back in touch with them and start building trust and respect.

Diet culture promises that if you fall in line, lose enough weight, and stay dedicated ("no excuses!"), you'll eventually be happy and healthy.

But the time, energy, and money diet culture demands is actually a clever distraction from the health and happiness you're seeking.

What if you could work towards those goals *today* without having to change your body, restrict the foods you love, and force yourself to do exercise you hate?

That's what's so powerful about intuitive eating as a practice. Because it's centered around how you feel instead of how you look, it teaches you how to tune into your body's inner wisdom.

And those answers you're looking for around health and happiness? You'll find them inside. By learning how to filter out the noise, values, and beliefs that were never yours to begin with.

So how does The Snack Pack work?

Once you've applied for the program, had your discovery call with me, and been officially accepted into the Fall 2020 cohort, here's what you can expect:

Online Community

You'll receive an invitation to join the Snack Pack online community, which is hosted through Mighty Networks. This will be your hub for the eight-week program.

You'll have both desktop and app access to everything that's happening with your Snack Pack cohort, and you'll be able to set up notifications to your liking to keep up with what's happening in the group.

In the online community, you'll find everything you need for the program. You'll also be able to share, comment, and interact with me and your fellow cohort members.

Time Commitment:

How much you participate is up to you, but on average, you can expect to spend
from 10-20 minutes per day getting caught up and interacting in The Snack Pack online community.

The Work

Each week of the program you'll receive:

  • a specific intention and objectives for the week,
  • an action assignment to help you put the principles of intuitive eating into practice in real life,
  • a journaling assignment to help you reflect and process,
  • and discussion pieces related to that week's objectives.

We will cover a wide range of topics, including how to reject the diet mentality, hunger and fullness cues, satisfaction and pleasure with food, body respect, nutrition, exercise, and more. 

Time Commitment:

The amount of time it will take you to cover each week's material will vary depending on the week's specific assignments and your goals/needs, but you can expect to spend at least
1.5 hours per week doing the work for the program.

Group Coaching Calls  

There will be five group coaching calls during the program. These calls will give you an opportunity to share your experiences, ask questions, troubleshoot assignments, and learn from one another.

Each of the five video calls will take place through Zoom, which is free for you to use. All calls will be recorded in both video and audio format and posted in the online community the next day in case you have to miss any.

For this cohort, the coaching call schedule is:

  • Wednesday 9/9 - 6:00-7:30 PM CST (7:00-8:30 PM EST)
  • Wednesday 9/16 - 6:00-7:30 PM CST (7:00-8:30 PM EST)
  • Wednesday 9/30 - 6:00-7:30 PM CST (7:00-8:30 PM EST)
  • Wednesday 10/14 - 6:00-7:30 PM CST (7:00-8:30 PM EST)
  • Wednesday 10/28 - 6:00-7:30 PM CST (7:00-8:30 PM EST)

Pricing:

Option 1: The Snack Pack

If you are accepted into The Snack Pack, the price is $275 for the eight-week program. You will have the option to pay the full amount up front or split the cost into two payments of $137.50, paid one month apart.

This cohort of The Snack Pack is limited to 12 people, including those who choose The Snack Pack+ option.

Option 2: The Snack Pack+

For an additional $125, you can be part of The Snack Pack+. Those who choose The Snack Pack+ option will get two one-on-one coaching calls with me (discounted from my usual rate) during the course of the program to work on their specific needs.

The price for The Snack Pack+ is $400. You will have the option to pay the full amount up front or split the cost into two payments of $200.00, paid one month apart.

The Snack Pack+ option is limited to 5 people.

Who is The Snack Pack best for?

The Snack Pack is a great fit for those who have some familiarity with intuitive eating and are seeking guidance putting the principles into practice and understanding the nuances. If you understand that dieting and diet culture are harmful and you're looking to try something different, this program can help you learn how to relate to food and your body in a more compassionate way.

To succeed in The Snack Pack, it's essential that you have the time and energy to commit to the experience. The Snack Pack program requires a lot of self-reflection and work on your own, and past participants have noted that you'll get out of it what you put into it.

The Snack Pack is NOT a diet or weight loss program. You will not be given any kind of meal plan or food rules to follow. Additionally, to make progress with intuitive eating and improve your relationship with food and your body, you'll have to be willing to put intentional weight loss on the back burner and focus your attention on breaking free from the restrictive methods of your past. There is no guarantee of what will happen to your body when you adopt this approach - some people's bodies change and some people's bodies don't.

Additionally, The Snack Pack is not intended for anyone who currently has an eating disorder. I do not have the specialty training required to work with eating disorder clients. Please reach out to me if you're unsure whether you fall into this category. If in the course of doing your intake for the program I determine that working with you would be outside the scope of my practice due to an eating disorder or other serious medical condition, I will let you know and refer you to the appropriate practitioner(s).

No refunds will be offered for The Snack Pack. Because this program has limited spots, I am unable to provide a refund for anyone who signs up and changes their mind or who isn't able to participate fully in the program. Signing up for the program and tendering your first payment is an acknowledgment of this policy.

Hi, I'm Shohreh Davoodi!

I'm a weight-inclusive, Health At Every Size©-informed certified intuitive eating counselor and personal trainer. I specialize in helping people give diet culture the finger so they can focus more on the people, projects, and passions that light them up.

Getting more in touch with who I am and what I want has been the daily work of my adult life, and every day the process starts anew. Learning to look at my choices with curiosity and treat myself with kindness has changed my life immensely, from food to my career to friendships.
