The Snack Pack is an 8-Week online group coaching program for those who want to leave behind the diet mentality and start enjoying food again through the practice of intuitive eating.

The Snack Pack kicks off on Monday, February 17th and runs through Friday, April 10th.

Ditching the diet mentality to adopt an intuitive eating approach can feel incredibly isolating when friends, family, and coworkers are still stuck in their dieting ways, always talking about "good" foods and "bad" ones, their latest exercise regiment, or what's "off limits" this month.

But you don't have to do it alone! This group coaching program is designed to help you embrace a new way of relating to food alongside like-minded individuals who are also working to reconnect with their bodies.

Feeling stuck in diet culture (even when you're not "officially" on a diet) can negatively affect every part of your life.

  • Do you waste a lot of brain space thinking about food and eating? Such as spending way more time than feels necessary being concerned that people are judging you for what you're eating, making sure you're following all the right food rules, or trying to keep from spiraling out of control with food.
  • Do you equate thinness with health? Such as believing that dieting and losing weight are the only paths to health, that only people with a "normal" BMI are healthy, or not expanding your definition of health beyond the physical.
  • Do you get stuck in the restrict-and-binge cycle? Such as jumping from diet to diet, eating "healthy" all week so you can have a weekend "cheat day," or using your willpower to restrict for stretches of time until you ultimately succumb to foods you've placed off limits.
  • Is much of your self-talk negative and mean? Such as saying things to yourself you would never say to a partner or best friend, or constantly checking yourself in the mirror.
  • Do you engage in black-and-white thinking about food and exercise? Such as categorizing food as good/bad, healthy/unhealthy, and clean/dirty, or viewing exercise as either a punishment for what you ate or a way to earn food.
  • Do you lack trust in yourself and your body's signals? Such as ignoring your cravings and hunger (or not being able to recognize these signals at all), feeling out of control or even addicted to certain foods, or not trusting yourself to make the right decisions about food without some kind of clear plan or rules.
  • Do you find yourself tempted to start diets and "lifestyle changes" that others are raving about due to the promises they make? Such as Whole30, Keto, Intermittent Fasting, clean eating, detoxes, celery juice cleanses, etc.

If so, The Snack Pack may be the perfect fit for you!

You don't have to wait to begin healing your relationship with food!

Diet culture promises that if you fall in line, lose enough weight, and stay dedicated ("no excuses!"), you'll eventually be happy and healthy.

But the time, energy, and money diet culture demands is actually a clever distraction from what you're chasing.

What if you could work towards being happy and healthy *today* without having to change your body, restrict the foods you love, and force yourself to do exercise you hate?

That's what intuitive eating and The Snack Pack are all about!

Intuitive eating is centered around how you feel instead of how you look. It teaches you how to tune into your body's inner wisdom around food to figure out the how, what, why, and when of eating that works best for you as an individual.

Through the course of this coaching program, you'll learn how to trust yourself and make your own decisions for your body. This will help you develop the confidence to stop letting diet culture push you around.

Here's how The Snack Pack works:

Assignments

Each week you'll receive:

  • A specific intention and objectives for the week,
  • an action assignment to put into practice the principles of intuitive eating in real life,
  • a journaling assignment to help you reflect and process,
  • and supplemental educational materials.

We will cover a wide range of topics, including how to reject the diet mentality, tapping into hunger cues, food satisfaction, body respect, nutrition, exercise, and more.

Time Commitment: Will vary depending on the specific assignments and your needs, but you can expect to spend at least 1.5 hours per week with these materials.

Group Coaching Calls

5 group coaching video calls will take place over the course of the 8-week program. These calls will give you an opportunity to share your experiences, ask questions, troubleshoot assignments, and learn from one another. The video calls will take place through the Zoom software, which is free for you to use. All calls will be recorded in case you have to miss any (ideally each group member can make at least 3 calls).

  • Call dates & times for Winter 2020:
  • Tuesday 2/25 from 7:30-9:00 PM CST (8:30-10:00 PM EST)
  • Tuesday 3/3 from 7:30-9:00 PM CST (8:30-10:00 PM EST)
  • Tuesday 3/17 from 7:30-9:00 PM CST (8:30-10:00 PM EST)
  • Tuesday 3/31 from 7:30-9:00 PM CST (8:30-10:00 PM EST)
  • Tuesday 4/7 from 7:30-9:00 PM CST (8:30-10:00 PM EST)

Facebook Group

The majority of the coaching group's interaction and information sharing will take place in a private Facebook group. The Facebook group is where you can share your wins and struggles, get your questions answered by me, and receive support and encouragement from your fellow group members. Unlike diet culture, which pits people against each other in competition, the intuitive eating experience is about finding common ground and building camaraderie.

I'll be in the group daily to check in with everyone, facilitate discussion, and coach. I will also record Facebook live videos for more in-depth topics as needed.

Time Commitment: You can expect to spend ~15-20 minutes per day in the Facebook group.

Past participants feel nourished by their experiences in The Snack Pack:

"I had already given up on the little bit of diet culture I actively participated in (tracking food and activity), but I was so grateful for the help to become more aware of just how pervasive it still is in my day-to-day life. My biggest win was (re)gaining respect for my body and all it does for me. And, the reminder that worthiness doesn't have a size requirement. This truly was a life-changing experience."

-Melanie P.

"This program helped me explore my relationship with food and my body. With the help of the intentions and assignments, Shohreh's invaluable knowledge and experience, and input from other participants, I'm learning to ditch diet culture. I'm working to look at eating as both nourishment and pleasure, rather than as a stressful necessity. I consider much more carefully what my body needs for food, rest, and care. I'm working to heal my relationship with my body and to separate my size from my health."

-Clara B.

"This program showed me the value of slowing down, listening to the little voices I've been ignoring inside myself for so long, and honoring my hunger, desires, and satisfaction. I saw how tuning out external pressures on how to behave and tuning in to my inner compass is powerful with food and many other aspects of my life."

-Shana M.

"It was life-changing! The program helped me in so many ways that I don't think I've even realized yet. By giving myself permission to not hold back I've found that I'm actually making decisions that are truer to what I actually want or feel and doing it without guilt. I don't feel as binge-y and I think that as a whole what I eat in a week is more balanced. ALSO leaving the stress behind about food choices and "bad" foods has been such a weight off my shoulders. I feel so much more at peace."

-Miró C.

Who is The Snack Pack best for?

The Snack Pack is a great fit for those who have at least some familiarity with the concepts of intuitive eating and need guidance putting the principles into practice and understanding the nuances. This program is especially helpful for those who want to free up valuable brain space filled with food and body thoughts in order to focus on other things that are more important and enjoyable.

It's also essential that you have the time and energy to commit to the experience. The Snack Pack is an intensive program that requires a lot of self-reflection and work on your own, and past participants have noted that you'll get out of it what you put into it. If you're unsure if now is the best time for you to sign up, please don't hesitate to talk it over with me so I can help ensure it's the right fit for you.

The Snack Pack is NOT a diet or weight loss program. You will not be given any kind of meal plan or food rules to follow. Additionally, to make progress with intuitive eating and improve your relationship with food and your body, you'll have to be willing to put weight loss on the backburner and focus your attention on breaking free from the restrictive methods of your past. There is no guarantee of what will happen to your body when you adopt this approach - some people gain weight, some people lose weight, and some people stay the same.

Additionally, The Snack Pack is not intended for anyone who currently has an eating disorder. I do not have the specialty training required to work with eating disorder clients. Please reach out to me if you're unsure whether you fall into this category. If in the course of doing your intake for the program I determine that working with you would be outside the scope of my practice, I will refund your money and refer you to the appropriate practitioner(s).

Outside of that specific circumstance, no refunds will be offered for The Snack Pack. Because this program has limited spots, I am unable to provide a refund for anyone who signs up and changes their mind or who isn't able to participate fully in the program. By signing up for the program, you are acknowledging this.

Meet Your Coach:

Hi, I'm Shohreh Davoodi!

I'm a weight-inclusive, Health At Every Size-informed certified intuitive eating counselor and personal trainer. I specialize in helping people get out of the yo-yo dieting cycle and adopt intuitive eating in their lives so they can start to play by their own rules.

For much of my life I tried various diets and "lifestyle changes," ignored my hunger and subsisted on low-calorie foods, and attempted to shrink myself through exercise. I struggled to understand my waning motivation and why I failed to find happiness at the bottom of every protein shake.

Turns out I was looking for happiness, confidence, and self-worth in all the wrong places. I wasn't able to find what I was seeking until I got back in touch with my own body and put in the work to heal my relationship with food and exercise.

Now I have the honor of helping others do the nourishing (and challenging!) work of reconnecting with their bodies, learning to approach food with curiosity, and discovering that exercise and other forms of self-care can be nourishing and joyful.

I created The Snack Pack group coaching program to help people revitalize their relationships with food and redefine what health and wellness mean to them to better fit their lives and reality. I hope you'll join us!

"You have a fun approach to everything and you never give off the impression you're judging, which I think is what people most fear." - Kristiana L.
